Fred Matser's book Rediscover Your Heart: 7 Keys for Personal and Planetary Transformation was launched at a unique, heartwarming event in Manhattan on July 17, 2008.



An international gathering of around 200 guests including book contributors, award winners and their families, friends and associates and  media came together to celebrate the book and the Rediscover Your Heart awardees.



Donna D'Cruz, founder of Rasa Living, led the program which began with a welcome by Dr Phyllis Harrison-Ross, President of the Social Service Board for the New York Society for Ethical Culture which co-hosted the event.



Author, Fred Matser was joined onstage by special guests: Deepak Chopra, award-winning author of numerous New York Times bestsellers; Carolyn Myss, medical intuitive and best-selling author of, amongst others, ‘Sacred Contracts’; and Dr. Jerry Jampolsky, psychiatrist and founder of the Centers for Attitudinal Healing in the US and abroad.



Jonathan Granoff, President of the Global Security Institute, read a personal letter from the Nobel Peace Prize winner and former Soviet President, Mikhail Gorbachev, who wrote the foreword for the book. In the letter Gorbachev congratulated Fred and honored the awardees.



The celebrated musician, composer and Oscar nominee, Charles Mack played a song he specially composed for the evening while the Rediscover Your Heart Awardees each briefly presented their projects.

The guest panel and the author shared ideas and thoughts on Rediscovering Your Heart and the presentation closed with some outstanding singing from awardees, the Mahina Movement.



The event was held in the New York Society for Ethical Culture's landmark building on Central Park West and a host of its wonderful volunteers and staff helped to make the event possible. Organic, vegetarian food for the reception was provided by The Works, a nonprofit caterer that gives every dollar of its profits to provide care and services to homeless New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS.
